From 5 world champion boxers, to little league, to Friday Night High School football, to Collegiate sports on campus, to Professional hockey downtown. The average family in the U.S. spends approx. $1,000 annual on child sports participation. Registration fees, Equipment, Travel expenses, lodging, private lessons, trainers, camps and more. Youngstown Athletics IS industry.
*It must also be stated that Athletics have immense value to Academics and Education. Athletics bridges right into our children’s Academic achievement. Here in Youngstown, we must be, and will be known as the Scholar-Athlete.
