Poverty, violence and those ignoring or silencing the voices of our people can NO LONGER be a part of our community’s identity in the City of Youngstown. An aggressive strategic plan to lift our residents out of these conditions must be central to our collective efforts.
“Reclaiming Our Identity” means fully recognizing the vital work we MUST do around Mental Health, Academics & Education, Business & Entrepreneurship, Neighborhood Development, Safety and our entire Quality of Life. It’s out of a well-defined Youngstown Identity that we will reinvigorate (and properly leverage) Youngstown Industry.
